Day 1: Beijing

Upon arrival, you will be met by our professional local representative who will welcome you and assist you with your transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 2: Beijing – City Tour

Breakfast. The day begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the political and symbolic center of modern day China. Then visit the vast complex of courtyards and chambers within the Forbidden City, the ancient seat of imperial power. After lunch at TAJ Pavilion Indian restaurant, tour the Summer Palace, the beautifully preserved garden retreat of the emperors. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 3: Beijing – Great Wall

Enjoy your breakfast. Morning, visit Great Wall at Juyongguan Pass, a spectacular section of the Wall which is known as one of the eight most beautiful scenes in ancient Beijing. Enjoy the astounding views of the Wall as it winds over the surrounding hills. Enjoy local Chinese lunch at Golden Palace restaurant. Visit the Jade Factory where you can learn about China's long history of jade carving and shop for gifts and souvenirs. Photo stop at Olympic stadium on the way back to the city. The stadium was designed for use throughout the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 4: Beijing - Shanghai

Breakfast. Check out by 12:00 and then you will be transferred to the airport to depart for Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be met by a tour guide and transferred by private car to your hotel for check in. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 5: Shanghai

After breakfast, this morning, visit Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden in the heart of Shanghai's old city and see the Town God Temple. There are over a hundred stores and shops in this area, and most of these store buildings are nearly a century old. Visit the Pearl Factory. Enjoy lunch at Indian Kitchen. Afterwards, explore Xintiandi, a stylish restaurant and shopping district designed by MIT architect Ben Wood. Shop at Nanjing Road, which is the main shopping street of Shanghai. Evening free for you to explore the city on your own. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 6: Shanghai

After breakfast, spend a day at leisure on your own. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 7: Shanghai/Home (B)

Breakfast. Check out by 12:00 hrs and transfer to the airport for your flight back home with wonderful memories of your journey to China.
