Day 1: Milan – Bologna – San Marino

On arrival in Milan, you will be met by our professional local representative who will assist you with your transfer for San Marino via Bologna, one of Italy's most important art cities. Enjoy a short stop at this fascinating medieval town with its charming squares Piazza Maggiore and Piazza del Nettuno. After lunch on your own, proceed to San Marino, the world's smallest and oldest independent Republic, founded in the year 301, as a Christian sanctuary. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: San Marino – Perugia - Rome

After breakfast, depart for Perugia, a charming university town. Visit the impressive Cathedral and the Palazzo dei Priori, a historical building which was known as the seat of the first citizens of Perugia. The journey time between San Marino and Perugia is 90 minutes. After a brief stop for lunch on your own, proceed to Rome. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Rome – City Tour

After breakfast, proceed on a guided sightseeing tour of Eternal Rome. Pass through the Via Veneto, made famous by Fellini’s film, La Dolce Vita. Walk through the historical centre at the Trevi Fountain and then continue to Piazza Navona, built on the ancient Domitian Stadium with the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, Bernini's masterpiece. Also see the Pantheon, commissioned by Marcus Agrippa as a temple to all the gods of Ancient Rome and rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian in about 126 AD. It is still the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome. Onward to St. Peter's Square, passing Castel St. Angelo. Visit the Basilica of St. Peter's to admire, among other treasures, the 'Pieta' by Michelangelo. Afternoon is at leisure for shopping or to explore the town on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Rome – Vatican Museum Tour – Imperial Rome Tour

After breakfast, take the tour of the Vatican city and the Vatican Museum in the morning and after a short break for lunch, proceed for the tour of Imperial Rome where you will see the Piazza Venezia the Capitol Square (visit), enjoy a panoramic view of the Roman Forum and Palatine (visit), see the Roman Forum (visit), Arch of Constantine and inside visit to Coliseum. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Rome – Pompeii – Sorrento

After an early morning breakfast, depart for Pompeii, the famous Roman city destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Visit the site of the excavations. Enjoy lunch on your own at Pompeii. Late in the afternoon, drive (approx 2 hrs) to Sorrento. Check in at the hotel, relax and enjoy this scenic coastal town of Italy. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Sorrento – Excursion to Capri

After breakfast, depart for a full day tour of Capri by boat provided weather and sea conditions permitting. Visit the Blue Grotto. Return to Marina Grande port of Capri and transfer to Anacapri by boat, After lunch on your own in an authentic Italian restaurant, visit Augustus' Gardens with a view of the Faraglioni. Return to Sorrento. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Sorrento – Assisi - Siena – Florence

After breakfast, early morning, we depart for Assisi, the mystic town of Saint Francis still surrounded by ancient walls. Visit the Basilica of Saint Francis with its early Renaissance masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Stop for lunch at Assisi on your own. In the mid afternoon, drop in at the elegant Gran Caffe which offers the most fabulous gelati, mouth-watering pastries and cakes and a great selection of drinks. On to Siena, the beautiful medieval city renowned for the Palio. The Palio di Siena (known locally simply as Il Palio) is a horse race that is held twice each year, on July 2 and August 16, in Siena. A magnificent pageant, the Corteo Storico precedes the race, which attracts visitors and spectators from around the world. Proceed to Florence, check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Florence – Panoramic Tour

After breakfast, proceed for a tour of the cradle of the Renaissance. The Panoramic Tour begins at the Piazza del Duomo and includes the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistery of St. John, the Academy of Fine Arts Gallery housing the "David" by Michelangelo and Santa Croce, the 13th century Franciscan church with Cimabue's famous crucifix. Rest of the day is at leisure for optional sightseeing or shopping. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Florence – Padua – Venice

After breakfast, depart for Padua to visit the famous Cathedral of St. Anthony, guarded by Donatello's "Gattamelata". After lunch at one of the cafés in Padua, continue to Venice and upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour of this unique city. See the Square and Basilica of St. Mark with the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the prisons. In the evening take a gondola ride and discover the romantic side of Venice. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Venice – Murano, Burano, Torcello

After breakfast, proceed for the tour of Venice Island. Visit the highlights of the 3 main islands Murano famous for its glass making, Burano for its exquisite lace and Torcello for mosaics. Late in the afternoon, return to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Venice

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or next destination.
