Romantic Road - duration: 5 Days /4 Nights

Day 1: Frankfurt

Arrive in Frankfurt and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, spend time on your own visiting the Romerberg, Frankfurt’s old town square with its beautifully restored timber-framed houses, the Goethe Haus where the world famous poet once lived and the Paulskirche, the “Alt-Sachsenhausen", where you will find Frankfurt's oldest timber-framed house which was built around 1291. The Frankfurt Museum Riverbank is one of the most important locations for museums in Germany and Europe. Don't miss out on Frankfurt's "Zeil", a huge pedestrian zone where shopping is the name of the game.Overnight.

Day 2: Frankfurt - Rothenberg - Night Watchman Tour

Breakfast. Board the Romantic Road Coach which takes you to Rothenburg ob der Tauber via Wurzburg in 3 hours. Arrive and transfer to your hotel in Rothenburg. After freshening up, take a walking tour of this small but quaint looking town, marvel at the half-timbered buildings and the town walls protecting the city since the Middle Ages. Visit the town's most famous spot, the Ploenlein Square. The Gothic St. James Church is the town's most prominent church with the famous Altar of the Holy Blood and the Altar of the Twelve Apostles. Rothenburg also boasts of a Christmas Museum, a Doll and Toy Museum and a Crime Museum.

In the evening, take a one hour English-speaking tour with the Night-Watchman (mid-March until Christmas). There is no reservation required. The tour starts every day at 8 p.m. Meet at the market square in front of the town hall. Overnight.

Day 3: Rothenburg - Munich

Breakfast.This morning, the Romantic Road Coach takes you from Rothenburg ob der Tauber to Munich. Enjoy the scenic tour along this world famous road. The Romantic Road Coach stops at some medieval villages like Dinkelsbuhl, Nordlingen and Augsburg along the way for a short visit. Arrive in Munich in the early evening and transfer to your hotel. Later, take a stroll around Munich on your own. Munich's old town with it’s 850 years of history and the Marienplatz (Marien square) with its Glockenspiel (carillon) that chimes it's beautiful song thrice a day, are a must-see for all. Enjoy the spectacular cafes, restaurants and famous shopping squares. Visit the Frauenkirche, the town's landmark and the Hofbrauhaus. Overnight.

Day 4: Munich - Linderhof & Neuschwanstein Tour

After breakfast, this all-day escorted tour will first take you to Oberammergau for a photo stop, then to Linderhof Palace, the "Royal Villa" of Ludwig II. Visit this beautiful furnished castle and the park. Also visit Neuschwanstein Castle, which seems to be taken out of a fairy tale! Make time to explore the inside of the castle, castle grounds and also admire the view of Neuschwanstein from the bridge behind it. Return to Munich for overnight.

Day 5: Munich

Breakfast. Check out of your hotel. Transfer to airport for your next destination.
