Day 1: Auckland

On arrival in Auckland - 'The City of Sails', you will be met by our professional local representative, who will welcome you and assist in transferring you to your hotel. The day is at your leisure. Enjoy the Sky Tower Total Experience (Main Observatory + Sky Deck), admission included. Overnight at Auckland.

Day 2: Auckland

After your breakfast, the morning is at leisure. Please make your own way to Downtown Auckland Ferry Terminal to board Fullers ferry, and enjoy a pleasant cruise through the Hauraki Gulf to Waiheke Island for Taste of Waiheke Tour. On arrival at the wharf, your tour driver and coach are ready to begin the Island tour. The first visit is to Stonyridge Vineyard, where you'll enjoy a tour and tastings, plus a sumptuous light lunch. From here depart for Rangihoua Estate, which introduces you to Waiheke’s olive growing industry (includes olive oil tasting). A stop at Wild on Waiheke offers optional beer tasting as well as wine, and the chance to sample home grown preserves and chutneys. The tour is concluded with final tastings at the beautiful Mudbrick Vineyard before returning to the ferry terminal. Once the tour is complete, either board the next return ferry, or use your All Day Bus Pass to further explore the island. Evening is at leisure. Overnight at Auckland.

Day 3: Auckland – Christchurch

Enjoy your breakfast. This morning, transfer to the airport, for your flight to Christchurch. On arrival, pick up your rental car from the pick up point. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the Garden City on your own. Overnight at Christchurch.

Day 4: Christchurch

After your breakfast, experience sunrise over the lakes and mountains from the serenity of a hot air balloon. Share an incredible morning with your loved one. You'll float gently with the breeze, enjoying incredible panoramic views. Your flight is followed by a champagne style breakfast at a suitable landing spot. Flights take place in the area between Arrowtown and Queenstown and include views of numerous lakes, rivers and mountains, including the Southern Alps. Some locations used in "The Lord Of The Rings" can be seen, for example, The Ford Of Bruinen Dimrill Dale The Gates of Argonath and The Pillars Of The Kings. Also visible is Mount Earnslaw, one of the great mountains seen in Isengard. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore Christchurch. 30mins Punt ride on Avon River is also included today. Overnight at Christchurch.

Day 5: Christchurch – Greymouth – Glacier Region

Enjoy your breakfast. Later today, drive westbound over the Southern Alps and via the scenic Arthur’s Pass to Greymouth. Then travel southbound along the rugged West Coach and through the lush rainforests to the Glacier Region. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at Glacier Region.

Day 6: Glacier Region

Today enjoy a 45 mins swim in Glacier hot pools. Nestled in lush rainforest, the Glacier Hot Pools is a haven of natural tranquility. The pools are the perfect way for visitors to unwind and experience a blissful state of pure relaxation. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore this magnificent glacier region. Overnight at Glacier Region.

Day 7: Glacier Region – Wanaka

After your sumptuous breakfast, drive further down the West Coast past spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to Haast Pass, gateway to the World Heritage Westland National Park. Continue along the shores of Lakes Hawea & Wanaka. On arrival check – in to the hotel. Overnight at Wanaka.

Day 8: Wanaka – Te Anau

After your breakfast this morning, travel along the shore of Lake Wakatipu beneath the remarkable mountain range before reaching the Southland Plains to Te Anau. Overnight at Te Anau.

Day 9: Te Anau – Doubtful Sound - Queenstown

Today, drive to Doubtful Sound. Travel through the rolling country side to Manapouri. Then cruise across the crystal waters of Lake Manapouri to West Arm before boarding a coach and crossing the alpine route of Wilmot Pass, through some of Fiordland’s most dense rainforests. On reaching Deep Cove, board a modern catamaran vessel, the Patea Explorer for a three hour cruise exploring the waterways of this serene and isolated fiord. On completion of the cruise, travel to Queenstown.

Day 10: Queenstown

The morning is at leisure. Later, you can explore Queenstown on your own and drive down to Shotover River base on Gorge Road. Evening is at leisure.

Day 11: Depart Queenstown

This morning, proceed to the airport for your flight back home with happy memories of your romantic journey to New Zealand.
