The Best of Tanzanian Safari – duration: 11 Days / 10 Nights

Day 1: Arusha, Tanzania

On arrival at Arusha, you will be met and greeted by our professional local representative, who will assist you with your transfer to your lodge/hotel. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight at your lodge/hotel.

Days 2 & 3: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After your breakfast, depart for a reserve celebrated for its millions of ancient baobab trees. With the Ta permanent water source, Tarangire is virtually guaranteed excellent game viewing at all times, including lion (some tree-climbing!), leopard and a herd of 3,500 elephants. Spend two days exploring Tarangire, teeming with large populations of elephant, predators and their fleet-footed prey. Overnight at your lodge/hotel.

Day 4: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park

After your sumptuous breakfast, enjoy a spectacular drive from the low land to the ancient soda lake of Manyara National Park. The game in this petite park is plentiful and the bird life, magnificent. See tree-climbing lions and Manyara's great shock of pink flamingoes. Overnight at the lodge/hotel.

Days 5: Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater

After your breakfast at lodge/hotel, journey to Ngorongoro, the eighth wonder of the natural world. Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area—a region created to accommodate the grazing needs of the Masai people. Arrive in time for lunch at your stunning lodge, situated on the rim of the crater. Overnight at the lodge/hotel.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

After your breakfast this morning, descend 2,000 feet into the giant caldera of this extinct volcano. This magnificent natural amphitheater contains the largest concentration of animals in all of Africa. Prides of lion, black rhino and elephant share this land with the Masai tribesmen. Game is easily spotted and can be approached quite closely. Overnight at the lodge/hotel.

Days 7 – 10: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park

Enjoy your breakfast. En route to Serengeti, stop at Olduvai Gorge, the "cradle of mankind," where the Leakey family uncovered the fossil of Homo habilis, who lived 1.75 million years ago. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Over the next two days view large prides of lions, families of elephants, giraffes, gazelles, monkeys, eland and other wildlife. Overnight at Migration Camp or Mobile Migration Camp.

Day 11: Serengeti – Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport

Breakfast at the lodge/hotel. Enjoy one last game viewing this morning and fly back to Arusha. Relax, enjoy lunch on your own or go shopping. Dayrooms at the Arusha Lodge/Hotel before you take your evening flight home with wonderful memories of your journey to Tanzania.
