Day 1: Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and greeted by our professional local representative, who will assist you with your transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Cape Town
After breakfast today, we will tour Cape Town City. Drive to the lower cable way station on Table Mountain and, weather permitting, ascend by aerial cable car (cost not included). From a height of 1067m, view the city and Table Bay, Robben Island, the Atlantic seaboard and the spectacular Cape Peninsula. Head down into the Bo Kaap Malay Quarter. From Government Avenue, stroll to the National Gallery and South Africa Museum. View the Houses of Parliament, City Hall and visit the Castle. Enter the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront with its shops, pubs, restaurants and entertainment and explore on your own. Stay back or return to your hotel at 1pm and rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Cape Town
After your breakfast today, we shall travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno look-out point to scenic Hout Bay, a lively town well known for its fishing prowess. Enjoy a breathtaking coastal drive through Chapman's Peak to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve. After lunch at a restaurant (not included), drive to historic Simon's Town, with its charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at beautiful Boulders Beach. Visit the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Full day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Cape Town
Breakfast. After breakfast today, we shall visit Robben Island, 12 km from Cape Town. It was a place of banishment, isolation and imprisonment where political troublemakers, social outcasts and the unwanted of society were sent. During apartheid it became internationally known for its institutional brutality. Those imprisoned here succeeded on a psychological and political level in turning this 'hell-hole' into a symbol of freedom and personal liberation. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight.
Day 5: Cape Town - Johannesburg - Sun City
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Cape Town Airport for your flight to Johannesburg.Upon arrival, our professional local representative will greet you and assist on your transfer from Johannesburg Airport to Sun City. Explore this entertainment city at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Sun City
Enjoy your breakfast today. Spend the day enjoying the resort and the Valley of Waves. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Sun City – Johannesburg
After breakfast, you will be transferred from Sun City to the airport to depart for Johannesburg. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, after check in proceed for your city tour of Johannesburg. Founded by prospectors in the 1800's, Johannesburg is the economic hub of South Africa. Drive through the financial capital taking in the banking district, the Magistrate's Court and the Supreme Court. Visit the "Top of Africa" at the Carlton Centre before heading to Museum Africa. Drive through some of the most picturesque and avant-garde suburbs. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Johannesburg
After your breakfast today, proceed for the Gold Reef City a theme park built around an authentic 19th century gold mine, combines an old-world museum atmosphere with some of the wildest rides. Descend into a vast gold mine, watch gold poured, see the miners carry out their traditional tribal dancing, learn about their specially devised mine language. Stroll through the theme park reflecting the life of the mining town at the turn of the 19th century. There is plenty to do for young and old. Do wear comfortable walking shoes. Please note: Children under 5 years are not allowed into the mine shaft. Check out and take the hotel shuttle to transfer to the airport.
