Chamonix & Lyon (Mountains & More) - DURATION: 5 Days / 4 Nights

Day 1: Chamonix

Upon arrival, you will be met and greeted by our professional local representative, who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. The Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m) or 'Needle of the South', is a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps. You can take the L'Aiguille du Midi cable car to the top for an excellent view of Mont Blanc, (15,780 ft/4 810 m) and the French Alps. The cable car takes you along an impressive ascent of over 2800m in about 20 minutes. Once at the top (12,604 ft/3 842m) there are several panoramic viewing platforms where you'll be able to take in the tremendous raw beauty of the Alps. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Chamonix

Enjoy your breakfast in stunning environment. Explore the beautiful Alpine Village at the base of the majestic Mont Blanc. Enjoy walks along the paths through woods and grassy areas that allow you to enjoy the mountains with virtually no ascents or descents. One of the possible routes goes along the river Arve to the village of Les Praz (3 km). Get back to Chamonix by bus or train if you are tired or go on walking, up to the village of Les Tines. This path goes through beautiful woods. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Chamonix – Lyon

After breakfast, proceed to Lyon by train. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore this city. Purchase the Lyon City Hop-On-Hop-Off bus pass, which is valid for one day, and discover Lyon. Enjoy fantastic views of the city from open top deck. The bus stops at the following places in Lyon - Place Bellecour - Pont Kitchener - Vieux Lyon - Notre Dame de Fourviere - Cimitiere de Loyasse - Place des Terreaux - Square Jussieu - Pt Wilson/Childebert - Romain Rollandis. So you can visit the museums and places of interest at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Lyon- Beaujolais

Enjoy your breakfast today. You will be picked up at Place Bellecour in front of the statue of Saint Exupery, Discover the beauty of landscapes of Beaujolais. The golden stone villages are divine at sunrise and sunset.

Stop in the medieval village of Oingt, perched on a hill and surrounded by the Beaujolais vineyards, See the ancient castle chapel, the fortified door and a dungeon. See the ochre hued houses which are home to craftsmen and artists. Then stop in Salles Arbuissonnas village to discover its 12th century cloister and vaulted gallery edged with twin columns. End the tour with a tasting in the wine cellar of Vauxen Beaujolais, a typical village. Return to Lyon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Lyon

After breakfast, check out of your hotel. You can choose to extend your stay in Lyon or explore other beautiful cities of France.
