The Land of Rivers & Rainbows - duration: 9 Days / 8 Nights

Days 1-3: Livingstone/Victoria Falls

On arrival, you will be met at the airport by an English speaking guide, before transferring to your hotel for a three night stay, situated on the banks of the Zambezi River and upstream from the Victoria Falls. Considered as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the majestic Victoria Falls is known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or the 'Smoke that Thunders'. Dramatic landscapes of national parkland, breathtaking lakes, incredible wildlife and visions of mist from the falls raising high into the sky make for endless picture-perfect photo opportunities and a fantastic base for exploration.

Days 4-6: Livingstone/Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park

Your journey begins with a transfer to Kasane Airport in northeastern Botswana, where you will be met by a vehicle from Muchenje Safari Lodge for a 40-minute transfer to your accommodation. Located on the western side of Chobe National Park, Muchenje Safari Lodge is the only lodge in the vicinity and offers prolific game experiences and stunning panoramic views. Observe the high number of elephants that reside here by the Chobe River which gently flows through the Caprivi flood plains - a haven for elephants, zebra, wildebeest and impala. Watching for bird life is also a must here.

DayS 7-9: Chobe National Park to Okavango Delta

After breakfast, transfer back to Kasane airport where you board your light aircraft flight (Safari Air or similar) over the magnificent and stunning scenery of the world’s largest inland delta, the Okavango - a maze of deep lagoons, expansive lakes and winding hidden channels. Isolated within a basin of arid Kalahari Desert sand, this fresh water oasis is the lifeline for the wildlife that depend on these unique permanent waters.

Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by a representative of the Camp Okavango where you will stay for three nights. Depending on your arrival time, an afternoon game activity awaits. Set in the heart of the permanent delta, which is one of the last truly unspoilt wildlife areas in Africa and filled by distant rains in the Angolan highlands that take up to six months to reach the delta.
