The Big Five Safari- Special Edition - duration: 5 Days / 4 Nights

Day 1:

On arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and greeted by our professional local representative, who will assist you with your transfer to south-west straight for Amboseli National Park at the foot of snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at Ol Tukai Lodge in time for lunch. After refuelling and refreshing, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Amboseli, known for its dramatic views of 'Kili' (weather permitting) and its strong elephant population. There are over 1000 elephants in the park eco-system, including some of the largest in Africa. Perhaps catch sight of buffalos, lions and hippo in the open savannah and swamplands. Return to the lodge for dinner and a two night stay. Stay: Ol Tukai Lodge.

Day 2:

Early morning, mid-morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli's often arid plains. You will hopefully see buffalo and some of the big cats, with plenty of time to also enjoy the facilities at the lodge. Stay: Ol Tukai Lodge.

Day 3:

Have breakfast at the lodge, then drive south-east to Tsavo West National Park. Pass through the impressive Shetani Lava Flows with a brief photo stop, then continue to the Kilaguni Serena Lodge for lunch. With sweeping views of the Chyulu Hills, Kilaguni was one of the first safari lodges to be built in a national park and dates back to 1962. It features a fabulous terrace from which you can witness African sunsets and a waterhole that offers some of the finest lodge-based game viewing in Kenya. Take an afternoon game drive in this rugged wilderness and return for dinner and a two night stay. Stay: Kilaguni Serena Lodge.

Day 4:

Enjoy three game drives in the historic Tsavo West National Park famed for its red elephants, so coloured by the soil they cover themselves in! One of today's drives will also include a visit to Mzima Springs – a vibrant oasis of natural springs and crystal clear pools forming an important part of the ecosystem and frequented by hippo and crocodile. Stay: Kilaguni Serena Lodge.

Day 5:

Depart Tsavo after breakfast. We highly recommend that you extend your time in Africa by flying to the exotic island of Zanzibar— the ideal relaxing beach stay to add on to your safari. Alternatively, you can return to Mombasa for your onward journey.
